Our Beginning
The founder of the Neuse-Pamlico Sound Women’s Coalition, Inc., Claire Martin-Combs was a 24-year member of The Links, Incorporated. Her goal was to form a Links Chapter in New Bern, NC.
Claire and a small group of accomplished women were accepted as an interest group for Links, under the name of NPSWC, Inc. and began working and serving the community. The transition to Links never materialized, but the group decided to keep up its work and continue the organization.
Since 2001, NPSWC, Inc. has continued to make an impact in our communities. The projects have been gratifying and an extension of our motto: Friendship and Service.
